I bought and read your book. Insights into a heart can cause feelings and I wasn’t ready for you to taste so sweet. The soil you jump up from, feelings you hide, makes me think of when we were younger before the shade and long shadow of life threw dark green and moss over our idea of hope and forever.. it would have been good to laugh with you.. childlike and new

I remember that night in your father’s house, we didn’t flinch inside our needs and a wants and it reminds me that I loved you once. Completely .. it tells me how you helped shape the chase. How you helped kill the hatter, and how I fell.. so very far. My hands on your back and we reached into the earth, once upon a time.. never satisfied. And here we are again two mirrored panes

Today I look outside and those young ones are grey like donkeys when once they were brown .. and the hair is thick on their backs. They have not grown tall but fat with resilience .. hunted as they are, fragile food as they are. They are a collection of experience, youthful and bound to the elements … where do you hide when the earth is white and frozen? Where is the past when cognition is improved, the self a little more loved?

I try to stare into your soul. I know it is hard, this life and the weariness of the law, the difficulty in your togetherness. I know your heart is good, and I can finally see it in your fibers and layers and with eyes closed I can speak connection.. beyond the contradictions of solitude. I am patient. I am sinking into the overlap of goodness and warmth that is your aura. Quietly. Open the hips and let me in.. release your arms and let me in, roll down your blouse and let me in.. slowly, melt like wax and let me in.
